Using the file manager in DirhamHost
The File Manager in your DirhamHost control panel lets you upload, edit, move and delete website files without any extra software. Sign in at my.dirhamaday.ae, open the DirhamHost panel and click File Manager.
Key things to know:
- Your website's live files live in the
public_htmlfolder. Anything you want visitors to reach goes here. - Use the toolbar to Upload, New Folder, Copy, Move, Rename and Delete.
- Double-click a text file (such as
.html,.phpor.htaccess) to open the built-in code editor. - Tick Show hidden files (dotfiles) in Settings so files like
.htaccessappear.
Always take care before deleting: files removed here are not recoverable from a webmail-style trash. If you are editing a live site, download a copy first or restore later from Backups. For large numbers of files, an FTP client such as FileZilla is faster than the browser.
