FTP and SFTP settings and ports
To connect to your Dirham A Day hosting with an FTP client, use these settings:
- Host / server:
ftp.yourdomain.aeor your server hostname (shown in the DirhamHost panel). - Username: the full FTP username, e.g.
user@yourdomain.ae. - Password: the one you set when creating the FTP account.
Ports:
- FTP (plain or explicit FTPS): port
21. - SFTP (SSH File Transfer): port
22.
We strongly recommend SFTP or FTPS (explicit over TLS) because plain FTP sends your password unencrypted. In FileZilla choose Encryption: Require explicit FTP over TLS, or select the SFTP protocol for port 22.
If connections fail, check that your local firewall or office network is not blocking the port, and try switching between active and passive mode (passive usually works best behind routers). SFTP access uses your main hosting/SSH credentials, so it may need to be enabled first. If you are unsure which hostname to use, open the panel or ask support on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767 or support@dirhamaday.ae.
