Restoring a file from backup

Deleted or broken a file? Your Dirham A Day plan includes backups, so you can usually recover it. There are two paths depending on what you need.

Restore from a server backup:

1. Open the DirhamHost panel and go to Backups (or Backup / Restore).
2. Choose a restore point from before the problem.
3. Select whether to restore files, a database, or the full account, then confirm.

Restore your own copy: if you downloaded a backup earlier, simply re-upload the good version of the file via File Manager or FTP, overwriting the broken one.

Tips:

• Before restoring, note the current state so you can compare - a full restore can overwrite newer changes.
• For a single file, restoring just that file (rather than the whole account) is safer.
• Always test the site after a restore.
