SSL & HTTPS

Can I get a wildcard SSL certificate?

A wildcard certificate secures your main domain and all of its subdomains at once, for example shop.yourdomain.ae, blog.yourdomain.ae and portal.yourdomain.ae, using a single certificate written as *.yourdomain.ae.

With Dirham A Day, our automatic SSL already secures each subdomain individually as you create it, so most customers do not need a wildcard at all. The moment you add a subdomain, AutoSSL issues a certificate for it.

A true wildcard certificate is useful if you generate many subdomains dynamically (for example one per customer) and cannot wait for each to be validated separately. Free Let's Encrypt wildcards are possible but require DNS-based validation, which means we need to manage your domain's DNS.

You can also install a purchased wildcard certificate from a third-party provider via the SSL/TLS tool in the DirhamHost panel. Reach out and we will guide you through the right option.
