How do I install or enable SSL on my site?

For sites hosted with Dirham A Day, SSL is enabled automatically, so in most cases there is nothing to install. Once your domain points to our servers, the free Let's Encrypt certificate is issued and your site can load over https://.

To confirm it is active:

1. Visit your site with https:// in front of the address.
2. Look for the padlock in the browser address bar.

If the padlock is missing or you want to force issuance, log in to the DirhamHost control panel from my.dirhamaday.ae and open the SSL/TLS Status tool. You will see each domain and subdomain listed. Tick the ones you want and choose Run AutoSSL to request or refresh certificates immediately.

After the certificate is active, the final step is to make sure visitors actually use it. Set your site to force HTTPS so that anyone typing the plain http:// address is redirected to the secure version. WordPress users can set the Site Address to the https:// URL under Settings.
