Does my SSL certificate renew automatically?
Yes. Every free Let's Encrypt certificate issued by Dirham A Day renews automatically. You never have to remember a renewal date or pay a renewal fee.
Let's Encrypt certificates are valid for 90 days by design. Our DirhamHost system runs an automatic renewal (AutoSSL) well before expiry, typically around 30 days out, so there is always a healthy buffer. If the first attempt cannot complete, it retries automatically over the following days.
You do not need to do anything for renewal to work, as long as:
- Your domain still points to our servers.
- Your hosting account is active and in good standing.
Renewal can fail if you move your DNS elsewhere, put the domain behind a proxy that blocks verification, or add a redirect that interferes with the validation check. In those cases you may see a "certificate expired" or "not secure" warning.
To check status, open SSL/TLS Status in the DirhamHost panel via my.dirhamaday.ae; each domain shows its certificate and expiry. If anything looks stale, run AutoSSL manually or contact our 24/7 team on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767 or support@dirhamaday.ae.
