Can I use my own custom or paid SSL certificate?

Yes. While every Dirham A Day site includes free auto-renewing SSL, you are welcome to install a custom or purchased certificate instead, for example if your business requires an organisation-validated (OV) or extended-validation (EV) certificate, or a certificate from a specific provider.

To install one, you will typically:

1. Generate a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) and private key in the DirhamHost SSL/TLS tool.
2. Submit the CSR to your certificate provider and complete their validation.
3. Receive the issued certificate and any CA bundle (intermediate certificates) from them.
4. Paste the certificate, the private key, and the CA bundle into the Install an SSL Certificate section of the panel and install it on your domain.

A few tips:

• Keep the private key safe; you need the exact key that matches your CSR.
• Include the CA bundle, or some browsers will report the certificate as untrusted.
• Paid certificates do not auto-renew; set a reminder before their expiry date.
