SSL & HTTPS

Is SSL required for WooCommerce, and how do I set it up?

Yes, SSL is essential for any WooCommerce store. Customers enter personal and payment details at checkout, and payment gateways will refuse to operate without HTTPS. A "Not secure" store also loses sales instantly.

Your Dirham A Day hosting already provides the free certificate. To make WooCommerce fully secure:

  1. Confirm the certificate in SSL/TLS Status in the panel via my.dirhamaday.ae; run AutoSSL if needed.
  2. Set your site addresses to https:// under WordPress → Settings → General.
  3. Force HTTPS for the domain in the DirhamHost panel.
  4. In WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced, make sure the checkout is set to force secure connections if that option appears.
  5. Clear mixed content with a search-and-replace so product images and scripts all load over HTTPS.

After setup, test a full checkout to confirm the padlock stays on the cart and payment pages, since gateways are strict about this.

Also make sure your payment gateway's own settings use the live HTTPS callback URLs. If a payment provider reports an SSL error during checkout, send us the message on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767 or support@dirhamaday.ae and our 24/7 team will help.
