How do I get SSL for a subdomain?
Subdomains such as blog.yourdomain.ae or shop.yourdomain.ae are secured automatically by Dirham A Day, just like your main domain.
When you create a subdomain in the DirhamHost control panel, our AutoSSL system detects it and issues a free Let's Encrypt certificate for it, usually within a short time. You do not need to buy anything separately.
To check or trigger it:
- Log in to the panel from my.dirhamaday.ae.
- Open SSL/TLS Status.
- Find your subdomain in the list. If it shows as not yet secured, tick it and choose Run AutoSSL.
For a certificate to be issued, the subdomain must resolve to our servers. If you have pointed the subdomain elsewhere with a custom DNS record, or it is behind another proxy, validation will fail and no certificate can be issued until that is corrected.
