SSL & HTTPS

How do I secure email with SSL (mail.yourdomain)?

Your email connections should be encrypted just like your website. When you set up an email account with Dirham A Day, connect your mail client (Outlook, Apple Mail, your phone) using the secure SSL/TLS settings so your username, password and messages are never sent in plain text.

Use these secure ports:

For the mail server host name, use the value shown in your email account's "Connect Devices" or configuration screen in the DirhamHost webmail area. This is often mail.yourdomain.ae or the server host name.

If your mail client warns that the certificate does not match the host name, use the server host name exactly as shown in the panel rather than mail.yourdomain.ae; that name always matches our certificate. Alternatively, our AutoSSL secures mail.yourdomain.ae too, once that subdomain points to us.

Never choose "no encryption" or plain-password settings. If a certificate warning keeps appearing when checking mail, contact our 24/7 team on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767 or support@dirhamaday.ae and we will confirm the correct secure settings for you.
