Do addon domains get their own SSL?
Yes. If you host several websites in one account using addon domains, each addon domain gets its own free SSL certificate, exactly like your primary domain.
Our AutoSSL system treats every domain and subdomain on the account independently. When you add a new addon domain in the DirhamHost control panel and point it to our servers, a Let's Encrypt certificate is issued for it automatically, and it renews on its own.
To verify each site is covered:
- Log in to the panel via my.dirhamaday.ae.
- Open SSL/TLS Status.
- Confirm every addon domain shows a valid certificate. Tick any that are missing and choose Run AutoSSL.
The most common reason an addon domain has no certificate is that its DNS is not yet pointing to us, or its nameservers are still with the previous host. AutoSSL can only validate domains that resolve to our servers.
Once an addon domain is secured, remember to force HTTPS for it too, and update that site's internal links to https://. Need a hand across multiple domains? Contact WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767 or support@dirhamaday.ae.
