Why is SSL not working after I migrated my site?
After moving a site to Dirham A Day, SSL sometimes needs a moment to catch up. Here is what is usually happening and how to fix it.
DNS still propagating. AutoSSL can only issue a certificate once your domain points to our servers. If you have just changed nameservers or the A record, wait for DNS to propagate (often quick, but can take longer) then re-run AutoSSL from SSL/TLS Status in the panel via my.dirhamaday.ae.
Old hard-coded URLs. The migrated site may still reference the old host or http:// links, causing mixed content. For WordPress, update the site addresses to https:// and run a search-and-replace across the database.
Old redirects. Check the .htaccess file for leftover rules from the previous host that block the certificate validation path or force the old domain.
Recommended order after any migration:
- Confirm DNS points to us and the site loads.
- Run AutoSSL and confirm each domain is secured.
- Fix internal links and mixed content.
- Enable Force HTTPS.
If AutoSSL will not issue even after DNS has propagated, contact our 24/7 UAE team on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767 or support@dirhamaday.ae and we will resolve it.
