How do I check that my SSL is working correctly?
It is worth confirming your certificate is valid, complete and covering the right names. Here are quick ways to check.
In the browser:
- Visit your site with
https://. - Click the padlock in the address bar and choose "Connection is secure" then the certificate details.
- Check the domain listed, the issuer (Let's Encrypt for our free certificates), and the expiry date.
In the DirhamHost panel: open SSL/TLS Status via my.dirhamaday.ae to see every domain and subdomain and whether each is secured and current.
For a deeper test, run your domain through a public SSL checker such as the SSL Labs test. It reports the certificate chain, supported TLS versions, and any missing intermediate certificates, giving an overall grade.
Things a healthy result should show:
- Certificate valid and not expired.
- The correct domain name(s) covered.
- A complete chain (no missing intermediate certificate).
