Whitelisting and blacklisting senders

You can tell the spam filter to always allow certain senders (whitelist) or always block others (blacklist). This is the quickest fix when an important supplier lands in Junk, or a persistent spammer keeps getting through.

In the DirhamHost panel:

  1. Open Spam Filters.
  2. Expand Show Additional Configurations.
  3. Use Whitelist (allow_list) to add trusted addresses or whole domains, e.g. *@trustedsupplier.ae.
  4. Use Blacklist (deny_list) to block unwanted senders, e.g. spammer@example.com.
  5. Save.

Tips:

You can also manage per-mailbox filters and rules inside Omnio webmail for more granular control, such as moving mail from a sender to a specific folder. Be cautious blacklisting broad domains you might receive legitimate mail from. If a genuine sender is repeatedly blocked despite whitelisting, there may be a DNS or authentication issue on their side - contact us and we will investigate: support@dirhamaday.ae.
