What we need from you to migrate

Migrations to Dirham A Day are free and we do the technical work - but a smooth move is quickest when you give us a few things up front. Here is what helps.

The essentials:

• Your current host details. Which company and control panel you are on (cPanel, CWP, Plesk, or other), and ideally login or access details so we can pull your site across. Alternatively, a backup of your account.
• What to move. Confirm the website(s), databases and email accounts you want migrated.
• Your domain details. Where your domain is registered and managed, so we can plan the DNS side (often without needing you to change anything until you are ready).

Helpful extras:

• Whether the site is a shop or handles transactions, so we plan a careful, low-downtime cutover.
• Any special software, custom applications or unusual configurations.
• The rough size of your site and email, so we can estimate timing.
• A good time for the final switch, if timing matters for your business.

What to keep doing: leave your old hosting active until we have confirmed the move is complete and you have tested the site on our platform - it is your safety net.

You do not need to prepare anything technical yourself; we handle exports, imports and reconnection. Providing the above simply lets us move faster and plan the right kind of cutover for your site.
