What is DirhamGuard?

DirhamGuard is the resource-management system built into every Dirham A Day hosting account. It sets sensible per-account limits on the server resources your website can use at any one moment - things like CPU, memory (RAM), the number of processes running, and disk activity.

The idea is simple: every account on a shared server gets a fair share of power, so no single busy site can slow down everyone else. This is often called "noisy neighbour" protection. Without it, one site running heavy scripts could hog the whole machine and make dozens of other sites crawl.

For you as a site owner, DirhamGuard mostly works quietly in the background. Your site simply stays fast and stable. On the rare occasion your site briefly asks for more than its share - for example during a big traffic spike - it may slow for a moment or show a temporary resource-limit message, then recover.

You can view your live and historical usage any time in the DirhamHost panel under the resource-usage section. If you regularly bump against your limits, the fix is usually to upgrade to a larger plan, which raises every limit. Not sure what your graphs are telling you?
