What is noisy-neighbour protection?

A "noisy neighbour" is a website on the same shared server that uses far more than its fair share of resources - and, without protection, slows everyone else down. DirhamGuard is our built-in noisy-neighbour protection.

Picture a block of flats sharing one water tank. If one flat leaves every tap running, the others lose pressure. Noisy-neighbour protection is like fitting each flat with its own regulated supply, so no one household can drain the tank.

DirhamGuard does this by capping how much CPU, memory and processing each account can use at once. When a busy site reaches its ceiling, the system holds it at that ceiling instead of letting it spill over into other accounts. Your site keeps running normally, completely unaffected by whatever the neighbour is doing.

This protection runs in both directions:

You never have to configure anything; noisy-neighbour protection is active on every Dirham A Day plan automatically. If you find your own site frequently hits its limits because it is genuinely busy, upgrading your plan gives you a bigger, protected slice.
