Using the spam filter

Your Dirham A Day email includes spam filtering that scores incoming messages and moves likely junk to a Junk/Spam folder, keeping your inbox clean. You can tune how aggressive it is.

To adjust it in the DirhamHost panel:

  1. Open Spam Filters (Apache SpamAssassin) under Email.
  2. Enable it if it is off.
  3. Set the spam threshold score - a lower number is stricter (catches more, but risks false positives); a higher number is more lenient.
  4. Choose whether to move spam to a folder or add a tag to the subject.

Fine-tuning:

Marking messages as spam or not-spam in Omnio webmail also helps the filter learn. If legitimate mail keeps landing in Junk, whitelist those senders and slightly raise the threshold. For persistent spam from a particular domain, blacklist it. Need help calibrating the filter for your inbox? Our team is available 24/7 - WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767.
