Using the cPanel importer

Dirham A Day includes a built-in cPanel importer - the tool that makes moving from a cPanel host quick and reliable. Because cPanel is the most common hosting control panel, this importer is a well-tested path used in a great many of our migrations.

The cPanel importer works from a standard cPanel backup - the full-account archive that cPanel hosts can produce. It reads that archive and recreates your account on our platform, bringing across:

• Your website files.
• Your databases.
• Your email accounts and their messages.
• Associated settings so your site behaves the same here.

Because it understands the cPanel backup format directly, the importer maps everything to the right place on our platform automatically - you do not need to reassemble your site by hand.

Two ways to use it:

• We handle it for you. Give us access to your current cPanel, and we generate the backup and run the import as part of your free managed migration.
• You provide a backup. If you already have a full cPanel backup, share it with us and we import it directly.

Combined with our reverse-proxy cutover, the cPanel importer lets us move you with little or no downtime, keeping your site live throughout.
