Testing your site before switching over

One of the biggest advantages of the way Dirham A Day migrates sites is that you get to test your site on our platform before the final switch - so you can be confident everything works before your visitors ever reach the new copy.

Because our reverse-proxy cutover keeps your live site running on its old address while we prepare the new one, there is a window where both exist. During that window we can give you a way to preview and check your migrated site on our platform, separately from your live traffic.

What to check during testing:

• The site loads and looks correct - pages, images, menus and layout.
• Key functions work - contact forms, logins, search, and (for shops) the cart and checkout flow.
• Content is complete - your latest posts, products and pages are all present.
• Email accounts are set up and receiving, if included in the move.
• Links and downloads behave as expected.

Testing before switching means that if anything needs adjusting - a plugin setting, a configuration detail - we can fix it on the new copy before it goes live, with zero impact on your current site.

When you have tested and are happy, we complete the cutover. If you spot something during testing, just tell us and we will sort it out first.
