SMTP settings and ports

SMTP is the protocol your device uses to send mail through Dirham A Day. Correct SMTP settings are the key to fixing "can receive but cannot send" problems.

Use these outgoing settings:

• SMTP server: mail.yourdomain.ae
• Port: 465 with SSL/TLS, or 587 with STARTTLS
• Authentication: required - use your full email address as the username and your mailbox password

Important points:

• Always enable SMTP authentication. Most send failures are because it is switched off or the credentials are blank.
• Avoid port 25 for sending from a device - many networks and ISPs block it. Use 465 or 587.
• If your office or mobile network blocks 465, switch to 587 (or vice versa).

These settings power sending from Outlook, Apple Mail, iPhone, Android and any app that sends through your mailbox. For applications and websites that send mail (like WooCommerce order emails), configure the same SMTP details in an SMTP plugin for reliable delivery.
