Setting up email in Outlook

To add your Dirham A Day email to Microsoft Outlook (desktop):

1. Open File > Add Account.
2. Type your full email address and click Advanced options > Let me set up my account manually, then choose IMAP.
3. Enter these settings:

• Incoming (IMAP): server mail.yourdomain.ae, port 993, encryption SSL/TLS.
• Outgoing (SMTP): server mail.yourdomain.ae, port 465 (SSL/TLS) or 587 (STARTTLS).
• Username: your full email address. Password: your mailbox password.

4. Click Connect, enter the password if prompted, and finish.

Make sure My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is ticked and set to use the same credentials as incoming - this is the most common fix when Outlook receives but cannot send.

We recommend IMAP over POP3 so your mail stays in sync with your phone and webmail. If Outlook cannot connect, double-check the hostname (use mail.yourdomain.ae, not just your domain) and the SSL ports above.
