Restoring a single file or folder

One of the most useful features of DirhamVault is that you do not have to roll your whole site back just to recover one thing. If you have accidentally deleted or overwritten a single file or folder, you can restore just that, leaving everything else exactly as it is.

This matters because a full restore would undo all changes since the backup - new orders, new posts, new customer accounts. When you only need one file back, a granular restore keeps today's work intact.

To restore a single file or folder:

1. Log in to the DirhamHost panel.
2. Open the DirhamVault backup section.
3. Choose a restore point from before the file was lost or changed.
4. Browse into the backup and select the specific file or folder you want back.
5. Confirm the restore, and just that item is returned to your account.

Common situations where this is a lifesaver:

• You edited a configuration or theme file and broke your site - restore the previous version of that one file.
• You deleted a folder of images or documents by mistake.
• A plugin or update corrupted a specific file.

Because DirhamVault keeps a history of restore points, you can even go back several versions if the most recent backup already contains the problem.
