How often do backups run?

DirhamVault backs up your account automatically on a regular schedule, so there is always a recent restore point available without you having to do anything. Backups run in the background, typically during quieter hours, so they do not affect your site's performance for visitors.

You can always see your available restore points - the dates and times you can roll back to - in the DirhamHost panel under the backup section. This is the definitive place to check when your most recent backup was taken and how far back your history goes.

A few things worth knowing:

• Regular automatic backups mean you rarely need to think about it - a recent copy is always waiting.
• If you are about to make a big change (a major update, a theme switch, a bulk import), you can also take an on-demand backup right before, so you have a fresh restore point from that exact moment.
• Older backups are kept for a retention period and then rotated out to make room for newer ones - see our article on backup retention for details.
