Fixing the "Resource Limit Reached" (508) error

A "Resource Limit Is Reached" message - often shown as error 508 - means your account briefly tried to use more CPU, memory or processes than your plan allows, so DirhamGuard held it at the limit. It is a temporary state, not a permanent fault.

If you see it once and the site recovers on refresh, no action is needed. If it keeps happening, work through these steps:

  1. Check your usage graphs in the DirhamHost panel to see which resource is maxing out and at what times.
  2. Look for a trigger - a scheduled backup or cron job, a traffic surge, a marketing campaign, or a search-engine crawl all coinciding with the errors.
  3. Review recent changes - a newly installed plugin, theme or import can suddenly increase usage. Try disabling anything added just before the errors began.
  4. Reduce load - enable caching, optimise large images, and remove plugins you no longer use.
  5. Consider an upgrade - if your site is simply busy and healthy, a larger plan (Grow or Blaze) raises every limit.

WordPress and WooCommerce sites are the most common cause, usually from too many active plugins or heavy, uncached pages. Our knowledge base has dedicated articles on optimising both.
