Post-migration checklist

Once your site has been migrated to Dirham A Day and switched over, it is worth running through a short checklist to make sure everything is working perfectly. Our team checks the essentials with you, but here is what to confirm together.

1. The site loads correctly. Visit your key pages and check the layout, images, menus and content all look right.
2. SSL is working. Confirm your padlock is showing and the site loads over https without warnings. If not, we re-issue the certificate.
3. Forms and logins work. Test contact forms, search, and any customer or admin logins.
4. Shop functions (if applicable). Add to cart and step through checkout to confirm ordering works and payment is connected.
5. Email is flowing. Send and receive a test message on each important account, and update your devices with the new mail settings.
6. Latest content is present. Check your newest posts, products or pages all came across.
7. Links and downloads. Click through important links and any downloadable files.
8. Performance. Confirm pages load quickly on our platform.

If anything is not quite right, do not worry - your old hosting is still available as a safety net until you confirm the move is fully complete, and we can fix issues on our copy.

Once you are satisfied, you can let your old hosting lapse (after keeping it for a short overlap period, just in case).
