Moving from GoDaddy

Moving from GoDaddy to Dirham A Day is free and straightforward. GoDaddy's hosting typically uses cPanel, which means our built-in cPanel importer can bring your site across smoothly - files, databases and email together.

Your website hosting: if your GoDaddy plan uses cPanel (most shared hosting does), we handle it just like any cPanel migration:

• Give us access to your GoDaddy cPanel, or provide a cPanel backup.
• We import your site to our platform using the cPanel importer.
• We keep your site live throughout with a reverse-proxy cutover, for little or no downtime.
• You test, then we switch over.

If your GoDaddy setup is a website builder or managed WordPress rather than standard cPanel, we can still move you - just tell us what you have and we will find the right approach.

Your domain: your domain may be registered with GoDaddy. You do not have to move the registration to host with us - your domain can simply point to your new site here. If you would prefer, you can also transfer the domain registration to Dirham A Day so everything is in one place. Either way, we will guide you.

Your email: we bring your email accounts and messages across as part of the migration, and plan the mail changeover so nothing is lost.
