Taking a full account backup

A full account backup is a complete snapshot of everything in your hosting account - your website files, all your databases and all your email - captured together at a single moment. DirhamVault takes these automatically on a schedule, and you can also create one on demand whenever you wish.

Full account backups are the foundation of your protection. Because they capture everything, they let you roll your entire site back to a known-good state after a serious problem such as a broken relaunch, a security incident or a major mistake.

To take a full account backup on demand:

1. Log in to the DirhamHost panel and open DirhamVault.
2. Choose to create a new backup now.
3. Select the full account option and confirm.

To restore from one, choose full account restore, pick the restore point and confirm - your files, databases and email all return to that moment.

When to take a fresh full backup yourself:

• Before a major site overhaul or migration.
• Before large-scale updates across many plugins or applications.
• When you want a complete point-in-time copy to download and keep off the platform.

Remember that a full restore replaces your current data with the backup, so changes made after the restore point will not be present - if you only need one item back, a granular restore of a file, database or mailbox is usually the better choice.
