Understanding email sending limits
To protect our servers' reputation and keep everyone's mail landing in inboxes, Dirham A Day applies sensible hourly sending limits per mailbox and account. These limits are generous for normal business use but prevent abuse and accidental mass-mailing.
What this means for you:
- Everyday correspondence and small internal notices are unaffected.
- If you try to send to hundreds or thousands of recipients at once, you may hit the limit and further messages are queued or temporarily deferred.
- A sudden spike in outgoing mail can also indicate a compromised mailbox - our system may pause sending to protect you.
For bulk or marketing email - newsletters, promotions, large announcements - use a dedicated email marketing platform or a third-party SMTP relay such as SendGrid or Mailgun. This keeps your transactional mail flowing, protects your domain's deliverability, and handles unsubscribe compliance.
If you are hitting limits with legitimate transactional mail (for example a busy shop sending many order confirmations), contact us - we can advise on the right setup, whether that is a higher limit, a dedicated IP or an SMTP relay. If your account has suddenly hit its limit unexpectedly, check for a compromised mailbox sending spam. Our team is available 24/7 to help on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767.
