Setting correct From and Reply-To addresses

Your From and Reply-To addresses affect both deliverability and how customers perceive you. Getting them right helps authentication pass and replies reach the right place.

From address:

• Always send from an address on your own domain, e.g. sales@yourdomain.ae, not a free provider like Gmail. This lets SPF, DKIM and DMARC align with your domain.
• Use a consistent, recognisable From name and address so recipients (and filters) learn to trust it.
• Avoid noreply@ where you can - it discourages engagement, which providers value.

Reply-To address:

• Set Reply-To when replies should go somewhere different from the From address - for example, sending from newsletter@yourdomain.ae but wanting replies at info@yourdomain.ae.
• Keep it on your own domain too.

DMARC alignment is the key technical reason to use your own domain in the From: DMARC checks that the From domain matches the domains that pass SPF and DKIM. Sending as you@gmail.com through your hosting will fail alignment and hurt deliverability.
