Checking and removing blacklist listings
If your mail is suddenly bouncing or going to spam everywhere, your domain or sending IP may be on a blacklist (DNSBL). These lists flag sources associated with spam.
Check your status:
- Use a multi-blacklist checker such as MXToolbox Blacklist Check, entering your domain and your sending IP.
- Note which lists show a listing and the reason given.
Common causes: a compromised mailbox sending spam, a hacked script on your site, sending to many invalid addresses, or being on a shared IP where another user misbehaved.
Fix the root cause first - delisting without fixing the cause leads to immediate re-listing:
- Change passwords on any compromised mailboxes and remove rogue forwarders.
- Scan your website for malware or spam-sending scripts.
- Clean your recipient lists of invalid addresses.
Request delisting: visit the blacklist's website (the checker links to it) and follow its removal process. Some delist automatically after a clean period.
If you are on our shared hosting and the server IP is listed rather than your domain, contact us - we manage server reputation and can address it. Our team can help identify the cause and guide delisting - WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767, 24/7.
