Email Deliverability

BIMI basics

BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) lets your company logo appear next to your emails in supporting inboxes (such as Gmail and Apple Mail), giving recipients a visible sign the mail is genuinely from you. It is a branding and trust feature that builds on your authentication.

Requirements - in order:

  1. Strong authentication first. BIMI only works once you have SPF, DKIM and an enforced DMARC policy (p=quarantine or p=reject). This is the biggest prerequisite.
  2. A logo in SVG format - specifically the SVG Tiny P/S profile, square, on a solid background.
  3. Host the SVG on your website (over HTTPS) and publish a BIMI TXT record at default._bimi.yourdomain.ae pointing to it.
  4. For some providers (notably Gmail), a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) - a paid certificate proving you own the trademarked logo - is required for the logo to display.

So the practical path is: get DMARC to enforcement, prepare a compliant SVG logo, publish the BIMI record, and obtain a VMC if you want display in Gmail.

BIMI is optional and most valuable for consumer-facing brands that send marketing mail, but it also strongly rewards good authentication hygiene. If you would like to pursue BIMI, we can help with the DNS record and check your DMARC is ready - contact our team on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767.
