It is reassuring to know that your backups are actually running, and DirhamVault makes the status easy to check. The most direct way is always to look at your restore points in the DirhamHost panel - if recent dated restore points are listed, your backups are working.
To check your backup status:
- Log in to the DirhamHost panel and open DirhamVault.
- Review the list of available restore points.
- Confirm the most recent one is recent, and that your history goes back as expected.
This quick check is worth doing occasionally as part of good housekeeping, and especially before any major change to your site, so you know a fresh restore point is in place.
A few good habits around backup awareness:
- Glance at your restore points now and then to confirm backups are current.
- Take an on-demand backup before big changes rather than relying on the timing of the next scheduled one.
- If you ever notice that restore points look out of date or missing, contact us straight away so we can investigate.
