Pointing a subdomain

A subdomain is a prefix on your domain, such as shop.yourbusiness.ae or blog.yourbusiness.ae. You can point a subdomain to a different server, app or service while your main site stays where it is.

To point a subdomain, open the DNS manager in your client area and add either:

• An A record with the subdomain name and the target IP address, or
• A CNAME record with the subdomain name pointing to a target hostname.

For example, to send shop to an external store, add a record named shop pointing to the address that service provides. Changes take effect within a few hours.
