Setting MX records for email

MX records (mail exchange records) tell the internet which server should receive email for your domain. Getting them right is essential for your email to work.

If you use Dirham A Day for email, your MX records are usually configured automatically. If you use an external email provider (such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365), you will need to enter the MX records they give you.

To set MX records:

  1. Open the DNS manager in your client area.
  2. Remove any old MX records you no longer need.
  3. Add the new MX records, including the priority value for each.
  4. Save.

Email changes can take a few hours to take effect. If email stops flowing after a change, contact our team on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767 or support@dirhamaday.ae and we will check your records.
