Setting up DNS for Microsoft 365
To use Microsoft 365 email with your domain, you add the DNS records Microsoft provides while keeping your website hosted with Dirham A Day.
In the DNS manager in your client area, add the records from your Microsoft 365 admin centre, which typically include:
- MX record to route email to Microsoft.
- TXT record for domain verification and SPF.
- CNAME records for services such as autodiscover.
Remove any old MX records so mail flows only to Microsoft. Allow a few hours for the changes to propagate. Microsoft lists the exact values to enter during setup. If you would like a hand matching them to our DNS fields, contact our team on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767 or support@dirhamaday.ae.
Getting these records right is what allows Microsoft to send and receive email for your domain reliably, so take care to copy the values exactly as Microsoft shows them. Keeping only the Microsoft MX record active ensures mail does not go to two places at once. Your website continues to work normally throughout, as only the email-related records change. If anything looks off after setup, we are glad to check your records with you.
