VPS IP addresses

Every VPS comes with its own IP address, the unique number that identifies your server on the internet. This is what your domain names point to so visitors reach your websites.

Your VPS IP address is shown in your client area when the server is deployed. You will use it to:

• Point your domain's DNS records to your server
• Connect to the server via SSH
• Access a control panel before your domain is set up

Having your own dedicated IP is one of the benefits of a VPS over shared hosting, giving you more control over how your server is reached and how email and SSL are configured.
