Root access is the highest level of control on a Linux VPS. As the root user you can install any software, change server settings, manage users and configure the server exactly how you want.

With root access you can:

You connect as root using SSH with the credentials in your client area. Because root can change anything, it is powerful but should be used carefully; a good practice is to create a separate admin user for day-to-day work and keep root for when you truly need it.
