What firewall protects my hosting?

Every Dirham A Day server runs CSF (ConfigServer Security & Firewall), a well-established, robust firewall that filters traffic at the server level before it ever reaches your website.

CSF does several jobs for you automatically:

• Blocks unwanted connections by allowing only the ports needed for web, email and other legitimate services.
• Works with its login-tracking companion LFD (Login Failure Daemon) to detect and block brute-force attacks in real time.
• Bans IP addresses that show malicious behaviour, such as repeated failed logins or port scans.

This all runs at the server layer, managed by our team, so you do not need to configure or maintain it. It complements the other protections on your account, including the ModSecurity web application firewall, malware scanning, and DirhamGuard resource limits.

If your own IP address is ever accidentally blocked, for example after several mistyped passwords, you may find you cannot reach your site or email from your location.
