Monitoring your VPS

Monitoring keeps you aware of how your VPS is performing so you can act before small issues become big ones. It helps you spot high resource use, downtime or unusual activity early.

Useful things to keep an eye on:

• CPU and RAM usage, to know when to scale up
• Disk space, so you do not run out of storage
• Uptime and whether your sites are responding
• Unusual traffic that could signal a problem

You can monitor from within the server using built-in Linux tools or a control panel's dashboard, and add an external uptime monitor that alerts you if your site goes down.
