Troubleshooting

My FTP won't connect

If your FTP client cannot connect, it is usually the settings, the credentials, or a temporary IP block. Check these.

  1. Verify the settings. Use the correct host (your server host name or domain), username (the full FTP username as shown in the panel), and password. For a secure connection use FTP over TLS (FTPS) on port 21 with explicit encryption.
  2. Check the password. If you changed it recently in the panel, update it in your FTP client. You can reset an FTP account's password under FTP Accounts at my.dirhamaday.ae.
  3. Are you IP-blocked? Several failed logins can trip our LFD protection and block your IP. Try from mobile data or another network; if that connects, your main IP is blocked and we can unblock it.
  4. Passive mode. If you connect but directory listings hang, switch your client to passive (PASV) mode.

Also make sure your local firewall or antivirus is not blocking the FTP client, and that you are using the right port.

If it still won't connect, contact our 24/7 team on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767 or support@dirhamaday.ae with the exact error message from your FTP client and your current IP (search "what is my IP"), and we will get you connected. Consider SSH/SFTP for a more secure alternative.
