Troubleshooting

What does DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN mean?

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN is a browser error meaning the domain name could not be resolved to an address, in effect, "this domain does not seem to exist." It is a DNS problem, not a problem with your website's files.

Check these:

  1. Is the domain spelled correctly? A typo in the address produces this error.
  2. Is the domain registered and not expired? An expired or lapsed domain stops resolving. Check its status and renew if needed.
  3. Are the nameservers set? The domain must use our nameservers (or have correct A records). If you just changed them, DNS propagation can take time before it resolves everywhere.
  4. Is it only you? Try the site on mobile data or another device. If it works elsewhere, your computer or router has a stale DNS cache.

Quick local fixes: clear your browser cache, flush your computer's DNS cache, or temporarily switch your device to a public DNS resolver (such as 1.1.1.1) to bypass a bad cache.

If the domain is registered, pointed to us, and propagation has completed but it still won't resolve, contact our 24/7 UAE team on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767 or support@dirhamaday.ae. We will confirm the correct nameservers and DNS records. Manage your domains and services at my.dirhamaday.ae.
