My disk space is full, what should I do?

When your hosting disk space fills up, your site can stop working, email can stop arriving, and uploads fail. Here is how to free space.

1. Find what is using space. In the DirhamHost panel at my.dirhamaday.ae, the disk usage tool shows which folders are largest, often email, backups, logs, or a media folder.
2. Clear old emails. Large mailboxes are a common cause. Empty Trash and Spam folders, and delete big attachments. Old webmail accounts add up.
3. Remove old backups and unused files. Delete backup archives you have already downloaded, old site copies, and unused images or uploads.
4. Trim logs and caches. Large error logs or plugin cache folders can grow over time.
5. Optimise the database to reclaim space from overhead.

Be careful not to delete files your site actually needs; when unsure, ask us before removing anything inside an application.
