Connecting to your VPS via SSH

SSH (Secure Shell) is how you securely log in to your VPS to manage it from the command line. You will use it to install software, run updates and configure your server.

To connect you need three things, all available in your client area:

On Mac or Linux, open Terminal and type ssh root@your-server-ip. On Windows you can use a client such as PuTTY or the built-in terminal. Enter your credentials when prompted and you are in.

For better security, consider using an SSH key instead of a password, and avoid sharing your credentials. Your VPS login details are at my.dirhamaday.ae. If you cannot connect, our UAE team can help check the details and your firewall on WhatsApp at +971 58 553 6767.
