Changing the registrant or owner of a domain

If you are selling a domain, changing your business name, or transferring it to a colleague, you may need to change the registrant (owner) details. This is different from simply updating contact information.

To start a change of registrant, open the domain in your client area and edit the registrant details, or contact our team to guide you. Please note:

• Changing the registrant name is treated as a formal ownership change and may require verification from both parties.
• Some extensions apply a short transfer lock after an ownership change.
• .ae ownership changes follow aeDA rules and may need supporting documents.
