.ae eligibility and required documents

The .ae namespace is managed by the UAE registry (aeDA), and registration is open to both businesses and individuals. In most cases you do not need to upload paperwork up front, but the registry may ask for supporting documents to verify eligibility.

Helpful documents to have ready include:

• A valid UAE trade licence for company registrations.
• Emirates ID or passport for individuals.
• Accurate contact details matching the registrant name.

Make sure the registrant name you enter matches your licence or ID, as mismatches can delay approval. You do not need a trademark to register a .ae name, but a matching business name helps.
