Arabic and internationalised (IDN) domains

Internationalised domain names (IDNs) let you register domains using non-Latin characters, including Arabic script. This can be a great way for UAE and regional businesses to present a fully localised web address.

Availability depends on the extension and registry. Arabic-script domains use a technical encoding (called Punycode) behind the scenes, but visitors simply see and type the Arabic name.

A few things to keep in mind:

• Not every extension supports every script.
• You may wish to register both an Arabic and a Latin version of your brand.
• Email and some older systems handle IDNs differently.
