Is this a real cPanel replacement or a wrapper?
A real replacement for the workflows hosts actually sell: accounts, sites, databases, SSL, WordPress, backups, security and email. We orchestrate proven components (Nginx, MariaDB, PowerDNS, Postfix, Let's Encrypt) under one control plane instead of reinventing them, which is how we ship fast without shipping fragile.
How do I migrate from cPanel?
The built-in importer connects to your existing cPanel server and migrates accounts across: home directories, databases and domains, with mail following in phase two. We migrate the first server with you, live, at no charge.
Do I still need WHMCS to bill my customers?
No. DirhamHost has a full billing engine built in, so you do not have to buy or run WHMCS: create clients, issue branded tax invoices with your logo, address and TRN, and collect payment online through Stripe and PayPal (your customers pick at a branded checkout), or mark bank transfers paid by hand. Paid invoices provision or renew hosting automatically. If you already run WHMCS and want to keep it, our provisioning module still ships: new orders create accounts, overdue invoices suspend, upgrades apply live, and usage syncs nightly. Blesta and HostBill modules follow on demand.
My accounts are on AlmaLinux 8 or 9. Will they restore?
Yes. The importer moves cPanel account data (files, databases, domains, DNS), not the operating system under it, so backups and live transfers from AlmaLinux 8, AlmaLinux 9, CentOS 7, CloudLinux or Ubuntu all restore identically into DirhamHost. PHP versions map to the nearest available pool, MySQL dumps replay into MariaDB, .htaccess rules translate to Nginx where safe, and every account gets a compatibility report before its DNS is switched. Nothing cuts over until you flip each domain.
How hard is the setup, honestly?
One pasted line over SSH on a fresh AlmaLinux 9 or Ubuntu 24.04 server, then everything is in the browser: license activation or 14 day trial, 2FA enrollment, backup target, first site. Under fifteen minutes, and the installer refuses to run over an existing setup so you cannot break a production machine by accident. If you would rather not touch SSH at all, we install it with you on WhatsApp.
Which PHP, database and runtime versions are supported?
PHP 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 per site at launch, 8.4 when stable, plus an isolated legacy 7.4 pool for old client apps. MariaDB 10.11 by default (reads MySQL dumps natively) with MySQL 8.0 as an install-time choice. Node.js (18, 20, 22) and Python (3.9 to 3.12) app hosting are included, each app in its own jail as a systemd service behind Nginx, with per-app environment variables and one-click restarts.
Who runs this in production today?
We do. DirhamHost runs the Dirham A Day fleet first, and every release cycle proves itself on our own paying customers before it reaches licensees. We will never ship you something we do not host on.
What about security?
A hosting panel is root-level software, and we treat it that way: per-account isolation, mandatory 2FA for admins, an audited privileged agent with a strict operation allow-list, signed updates with staged rollout, and an independent third-party security audit before any external license is sold.
