How to move your whole WordPress site to HTTPS

Once your free SSL certificate is active, move your entire site to https so every visitor and Google sees the secure version.

  1. Confirm the certificate in DirhamHost under SSL/TLS Status.
  2. Update your addresses in Settings → General to https://.
  3. Redirect all traffic from http to https. The simplest way is the Really Simple SSL plugin, which adds the redirect and fixes most insecure links.
  4. Search-and-replace old http links in content with Better Search Replace (take a backup first).
  5. Resave permalinks and purge your cache.

Then tell search engines: add the https version of your site in Google Search Console and update your sitemap. Check that your logo, menus, forms and checkout all load without warnings, and update any hard-coded links in adverts or social profiles.

A forced https redirect also helps SEO and customer trust. If you would rather we set the redirect at server level for you, just ask on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767 or support@dirhamaday.ae.
