Moving from cPanel/WHM to DirhamHost

Switching from cPanel/WHM to DirhamHost is designed to be smooth, thanks to the built-in importer that understands standard cPanel backups.

A typical migration looks like this:

  1. Install DirhamHost on a fresh server (AlmaLinux 9 or Ubuntu 24.04) via get.dirhamhost.com.
  2. Create cPanel backups (cpmove) of the accounts you want to move.
  3. Use the DirhamHost importer to bring across files, databases and email.
  4. Verify the sites on the new server.
  5. Update DNS to point domains to DirhamHost.

You gain simpler per-server licensing and a modern panel while keeping your customers data intact. For a planned, low-downtime cutover — or help with large batches — contact our team on WhatsApp +971 58 553 6767 or support@dirhamaday.ae.

Migrating in batches lets you test each group of accounts before committing, and keeping the old server available for a short while gives DNS time to propagate so no site goes dark. Many hosts find the switch pays for itself quickly through simpler, per-server licensing. If you would rather not handle the move yourself, our team can plan and assist with the whole migration to keep it low-stress.
